Thinking about a possible future for the Athletic Challenge emagazine. I am interested to know what members may want such a publication to include.
One thing we need to get rid of is the idea that the profiles are only for elite athletes. I have been turned down because: I am not really good enough; I don't like the photographs of me; nobody would be interested in me.
Every Master athlete has a story to tell about why they are competing/officiating, what their future goals are, ideas on training methods etc etc.
I also think a 'Letters to the Editor' section would be a hoot. Having read the past 'politically incorrect' letters in past Challenge publications I would love to see this repeated - yes 'girl friend' you will know what I am talking about.
We are blessed with great photographs being available and even regular photo pictorials could work.
Really like to hear your comments because I need some enthusiasm to publish and also to compete.

Hi Kevin, I like your ideas, it's something people would be drawn to read. I've directed this to the attention of the committee. All I can say regarding you getting knocked back for a profile piece, is shame on us. Someone told me once "you don't compete to come 4th". Well I do, and enjoy it.
Cheers, Rob
